The Women of J.ING - Leanna Haakons
Leanna Haakons realized early on that if she wanted to make a living for herself that she had to build skills and take advantage of opportunities as they came to her.
So it’s no surprise that at the age of 31, she is running her own financial services marketing firm, Blackhawk Financial, and is a best-selling author of a financial literacy book for millennials called, Young, Fun and Financially Free.
Leanna founded Black Hawk Financial in 2014 after working in diverse niches of the financial services sector worldwide. Her firm consults alongside companies engaged in financial services, alternative investments, media, and technology to create new businesses and product strategies, marketing initiatives, and to form mutually beneficial joint ventures and alliances.
"Women can be empowered, they can run businesses, and they can also be feminine at the same time"

In her book, Leanna teaches that one can create future wealth and still live the good life today. A lot of it has to do with having the right mindset and that does not mean you have to sacrifice today for the future or that money management has to be boring and complicated! Leanna donates 100% of the royalties of her book to the WE charity for the creation of sustainable economies and income opportunities in developing countries.
Leanna is a devoted athlete having been a competitive ski racer and is a true "give back" enthusiast. She has hosted events and volunteered for multiple organizations including WE, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, American Red Cross, SPCA and The Salvation Army.
